What is Project Discovery?
Project Discovery is an educational drop out prevention program serving W-JCC Public Schools middle and high school youths. It's successes are the result of the active involvement of the youth, administrators, parents, local businesses and institutions working together to provide enriching experiences for both the program and its participants.

Project Disocvery is held during the school day or as an after-school club, encouraging students to:

  • Set and achieve their goals
  • Enhance their self-esteem
  • Create budgets & timeliness
  • Learn study skills
  • Broaden students' horizons by becoming aware of success through college attendance.

Our Vision: Every student will have a pathway to access higher educational opportunities.

Our Mission: To increase access to and prepare elementary through high school students for success in post-secondary education.

Eligibility Requirements To be eligible for enrollment, participants must meet one of the following:

  • Be a first generation college student in his/her family
  • Have a family income within 200% of the poverty guidelines
  • Receive free or reduced lunch

*To assist other students who may have related needs and interests, 10% of the participants involved may not fall in the previously mentioned categories.
